This healthy female patient with a normal body weight had prominences on the inner and outer thighs that were decreased with liposuction.

Patients having liposuction of the thighs are allowed to walk for brief periods even on the same day as the procedure, but Dr. Andrade prefers that patients gradually increase their activity and refrain vigorous exercise for 6 weeks postoperatively.

Patients wear a compression garment for 6 weeks following the procedure to help resolve postoperative swelling and bruising.
