This patient underwent a facelift called a "MACS lift" which mainly tightened her jowl region and neckline. This procedure is performed through a smaller incision than many other facelift procedures, and the incison scar is concealed along the temple hairline and the ear.
Many patients prefer to stay overnight in hospital for postoperative monitoring and care, but this is not absolutely necessary. With facelift and necklift procedures the majority of bruising and swelling is usually gone within 1-2 weeks although it may take several months before the final result is apparent.
