Plastic Surgeons treat a wide variety of problems involving the face, breast, hands and extremities, and other parts of the body. All physicians in Canada with the designation “Plastic Surgeon” must have completed four years of general medical training followed by at least five years of specialty training in Plastic Surgery. Plastic Surgery encompasses several distinct fields including cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery. In contrast to the extensive training required to become a Plastic Surgeon, any doctor can use the title “cosmetic surgeon” without actually having completed surgical training at an accredited university in Canada. Patients should find it reassuring to know that their cosmetic surgery is being performed by a trained Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Andrade is a Plastic Surgeon who is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Medical Association and the Canadian Medical Association. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. |
